Low air-velocity transmitter for cleanroom and special ventilation duty — hot-film sensing accurate down to 0.15 m/s (30 ft/min), jumper-selectable ranges 0…1 / 1.5 / 2 m/s, analogue 0–10 V and 4–20 mA or RS485 Modbus RTU, IP65 / NEMA 4X enclosure, duct-mount or remote probe with optional display.

Key advantages

  • Very low velocity — accurate from 0.15 m/s with stated accuracies ±(0.04…0.06 m/s + 2% of mv) by range.
  • Analogue or Modbus — 0–10 V and 4–20 mA selectable, or RS485 Modbus RTU.
  • Clean design — IP65 / NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure; pollution-tolerant sensing element.
  • User configurable — jumpers or PCS10 software / configuration stick; response time typ. 4 s or 1 s.
  • Mounting options — duct mount or remote probe with large backlit display option.

Typical applications

  • Laminar-flow and cleanroom air-velocity control.
  • Special ventilation and low-speed HVAC monitoring.
  • Duct installations needing Modbus RTU networking.
  • Applications where EE75’s higher ranges are unnecessary.

Selection guide

  • Range — jumper selectable 0…1 / 0…1.5 / 0…2 m/s.
  • Output — analogue current+voltage or Modbus RTU model.
  • Probe — duct (T2) or remote with display (T3); probe lengths per OEM (e.g. 100/200/300 mm).
  • Supply — 24 V AC/DC ±20% (Class III).
  • Environment — humidity 5…95 %RH non-condensing; remote probe IP20, enclosure IP65/NEMA 4X.

Common mistakes

  • Ordering EE660 for velocities above 2 m/s — use EE75 / EE671 instead.
  • Skipping Modbus when the BMS only speaks RS485.
  • Ignoring response-time selection (1 s vs 4 s) for control-loop dynamics.
  • Expecting pressure-tight probes like EE75 T26 — not an EE660 feature.

When to RFQ / what to tell us

  1. Analogue vs Modbus; duct vs remote/display.
  2. Preferred measuring range and response time.
  3. Probe length; quantity; ship-to.
  4. Application (cleanroom / HVAC) notes.

FAQ

Q: When choose EE660 over EE75? A: When the duty is very low velocity (cleanroom / laminar) within 0…2 m/s. EE75 covers up to 40 m/s and higher process temperatures/pressures.

Q: Can I change the range later? A: Yes — measuring range is jumper selectable; PCS10 supports configuration/adjustment.

Q: What should I send for a quote? A: Output type, probe style/length, range preference, quantity, ship-to. Compatible with systems using E+E EE660 if you need a drop-in check — we do not claim authorized-dealer status.
