• Vs 40P — Choose 40P when you need mA↔V conversion and calibrated range selection; 51P when mA-only fixed range + trim is enough.

Common mistakes

• Ordering 51P when 0–10 V I/O is required — use 40P or 60P.
• Expecting DIP-switch multi-range — 51P is fixed-range with zero/span pots.
• Assuming loop-powered — needs 20…253 VAC/DC.
