Sensor — Bimetal coil; silicone-dampened coil option improves response time.

Dial / head — Maxivision dial 2″ / 3″ / 5″. Head: 2″ rear; 3″/5″ Everyangle / lower / rear. External adjustment.

Common mistakes

Specifying continuous service above 800 °F — intermittent limit is 1000 °F; continuous stops at 800 °F.
Ordering a 2″ dial with Everyangle expectation — Everyangle is on 3″/5″; 2″ is rear mount with ¼ NPT fixed.
Skipping a thermowell above 15 psi.
Undersizing stem immersion so the bimetal coil sits in a dead zone.
Expecting an electrical output or transmitter — mechanical dial only.
