Common mistakes

Ordering a direct-stem bimetal (e.g. EI Series) when the dial must be remote — Duratemp is gas-actuated bulb/capillary for remote mount.
Undersizing capillary (5…80 ft) or bendable extension (12″/18″/24″) so the dial cannot reach the viewing location.
Ignoring min insertion (~4″ liquids / 6″ gases for standard ⅜″×3″ bulb) and sitting the bulb in a dead zone.
