- Ordering Ex seals when FDA food-contact seals are mandatory — OEM notes Ex process seals are not FDA-compliant.
- Expecting amperometric membrane service — COS81E is optical; maintenance is spot-cap exchange + calibration.
- Ignoring sterilization limits — max 140 °C at 6 bar for ≤45 min per OEM.
- Mixing COS81E with legacy COS81D spares without checking Memosens 2.0 compatibility.
