Key parameters
Fits handheld 4–20 mA loop check and simulation when you need measure / source / sink, 24 V loop power, and an in-series HART 250 Ω resistor — choose ADT209 (0.03%RD) or ADT210 (0.01%RD).
Key advantages
- 0–24 mA full set — Measure / source / simulate plus switch test.
- ADT209 or ADT210 — 0.03%RD or 0.01%RD (10–30 °C, 1 year).
- 24 V + HART 250 Ω — Loop power with in-series HART resistor.
- IP54 handheld — 163×83×41 mm, 350 g, one 9 V alkaline.
Typical applications
- Commissioning and troubleshooting 4–20 mA transmitter loops.
- Simulating transmitters into PLC/DCS inputs with % span readout.
- Quick HART-device loop checks that need a 250 Ω resistor in series.
Selection guide
- Ranges — Voltage DC 0–30 V; Current DC 0–24 mA (measure / source / simulate); switch test.
- Accuracy — ADT209 0.03%RD + 2 counts; ADT210 0.01%RD + 2 counts (10–30 °C, 1 year).
- Loop features — mA source/sink; 24 V loop power; HART 250 Ω resistor in series with 24 V loop.
- Supply — One 9 V alkaline; optional DC 9 V adapter (9812). Battery life typical: output 18 h / measure 50 h.
- Display — VA LCD 52×52 mm; simultaneous mA and % span.
- IP / ambient — IP54; working −10…+50 °C, 95% RH; storage −20…+70 °C.
- Approvals — CE; ISO 17025 Accredited Calibration with data.
Common mistakes
- Ordering ADT209 when the procedure needs ADT210’s 0.01%RD — accuracy is model-specific.
- Expecting HART communicator functions — unit provides a 250 Ω resistor in series, not a full HART master tool.
- Using outside −10…+50 °C working range or ignoring the 10–30 °C accuracy window.
- Assuming IP54 covers immersion — handheld splash/dust rating only.
- Skipping the ISO 17025 calibration-with-data option when QA requires it on receipt.
When to RFQ / what to tell us
- Model: ADT209 (0.03%RD) vs ADT210 (0.01%RD).
- Primary use (measure/source/simulate), ISO 17025 yes/no, quantity, ship-to.
- Any need for a full HART communicator instead of the 250 Ω resistor path.

FAQ
Q: ADT209 or ADT210 — which accuracy? A: ADT209 is 0.03%RD + 2 counts; ADT210 is 0.01%RD + 2 counts (both 10–30 °C, 1 year). Pick from the tolerance your procedure allows.
Q: Does this replace a HART communicator? A: No. It provides 24 V loop power with a HART 250 Ω resistor in series so a HART device can talk on the loop. Full HART configuration needs a separate communicator/app.
Q: What calibration paperwork is available? A: Datasheet lists ISO 17025 Accredited Calibration with data (plus CE on both models). Ask for it explicitly on the RFQ if required.
Q: What should I send for a quote? A: ADT209 vs ADT210, functions needed, adapter/cal cert yes/no, quantity. Compatible with systems using Additel 209/210 if you need a drop-in check — we do not claim authorized-dealer status.
