Key parameters
Fits field calibration of transmitters and loops where you need one handheld tool to measure and source V, mA, ohms, frequency, thermocouple, and RTD — with a 24 V loop supply — and optional pressure via Fluke 750P modules.
Key advantages
- Measure and source in one tool — V DC, mA, ohms, frequency, TC, and RTD for transmitter and loop work.
- 24 V loop supply — power two-wire transmitters during bench or field checks.
- Published V/mA accuracy — typically 0.02% of reading + 2 LSD on V/mA tables.
- Battery field use — 4× AA alkaline; operating −10…+55 °C.
Typical applications
- Commissioning and maintenance of 4–20 mA transmitters and control loops.
- Temperature transmitter checks with TC/RTD source and measure.
- Shop or plant-floor calibration carts that need one multifunction handheld.
Selection guide
- Measuring / source ranges — V DC 0–30 V measure / 0–10 V source; mA 0–24 mA; ohms 15–3200 Ω; frequency 2 CPM–10 kHz; TC/RTD types per OEM published tables; pressure via optional 750P modules.
- Accuracy — V/mA typically 0.02% rdg + 2 LSD (OEM published tables). Confirm channel tables against your tolerance.
- Functions — Source/simulate V, mA, ohms, frequency, TC, RTD; 24 V loop supply.
- Power — 4× AA alkaline (battery).
- Connections — Banana jacks; TC mini; pressure module side port.
- Display — Dual measure/source display with backlight.
- Communication — Side-port remote interface for automated operations.
- Ambient — −10…+55 °C operating; storage −20…+71 °C (OEM page) / −40…+71 °C (OEM storage note).
Common mistakes
- Expecting built-in pressure without ordering Fluke 750Pxx modules — pressure is optional via the side port.
- Assuming a single accuracy figure covers every channel; V/mA “typically 0.02% rdg + 2 LSD” is not the TC/RTD/frequency figure — check the published channel tables.
- Ordering for classified hazardous areas — no hazardous-area rating is published for this model.
- Ignoring battery operation (4× AA) when planning long automated runs via the side-port remote interface.
- Skipping the NIST-traceable calibration report expectation on the PO if your QA system needs the certificate on receipt.
When to RFQ / what to tell us
- Channels needed (V, mA, ohms, frequency, TC types, RTD types) and required tolerances.
- Pressure yes/no — if yes, which Fluke 750Pxx ranges / media.
- Operating ambient and whether automated side-port use is planned.
- Quantity, ship-to country, and any QA docs required beyond the included NIST-traceable report.

FAQ
Q: Does the 725 include pressure calibration? A: Not by itself. Pressure is via optional Fluke 750Pxx modules on the side port. State the pressure ranges you need in the RFQ.
Q: Can I source a 24 V loop and mA at the same time? A: The unit sources/simulates V, mA, ohms, frequency, TC, RTD and provides a 24 V loop supply. Confirm simultaneous channel use against your procedure and the OEM published tables.
Q: Is this rated for hazardous areas? A: No hazardous-area rating is published for this model. If the location is classified, say so in the RFQ.
Q: What should I send for a quote? A: Channels and tolerances, pressure modules yes/no, ambient, quantity, QA docs needed. Compatible with systems using Fluke 725 if you need a drop-in check — we do not claim authorized-dealer status.
