Self-powered insertion paddlewheel (Rotor-X) for DN15…DN900 with sinusoidal frequency output proportional to velocity — no external sensor power required.

• Velocity / pipe — 0.3…6 m/s (1…20 ft/s); DN15…DN900 (½…36 in.).
• Electrical — ~19.7 Hz per m/s (~6 Hz per ft/s) sinusoidal; ~3.3 V p-p per m/s; source impedance ~8 kΩ.
• Cable — 2-conductor twisted shielded 22 AWG; 7.6 m (25 ft) standard; extendable to 60 m (200 ft).
• Wetted materials — Glass-filled PP or PVDF body; rotor PVDF/ETFE options; shaft Ti / Hastelloy-C / PVDF / ceramic / SS / Ta; O-rings FKM / EPDM / FFKM.
• Temperature / pressure — PP to 90 °C / 12.5 bar @ 20 °C; PVDF to 100 °C / 14 bar @ 20 °C (standard/integral ratings — confirm derate curves).

Common mistakes

• Expecting 4–20 mA directly from the sensor — 515 is self-powered frequency; pair with a compatible transmitter.
• Operating below 0.3 m/s — published range starts at 0.3 m/s (use 2537 family for lower velocity).
• Mismatching shaft/rotor materials to chemistry.
• Extending cable beyond 60 m without OEM guidance.
